Hello,

I have got problems creating a PPC2002/2003 CAB file using PPCIC.

As far as I know PPC2003 and 2003 doesn't support CAB files with compressed content. It was only made available for smartphones and later since WM2005 every device supports it.

I want to support those PPC2002/2003 devices. I pretty much know now how to set the proper ver min/max and unsupported devices.

My problem is how to make PPCIC use either the CABWIZ to create PPC2002/2003 or CABWIZSP to create Smartphone2002/2003/WM5/WM6 CAB files?

The version of cabwiz that i have included in ppcic supports both windows ppc 2002/2003 and wm5/wm6/smartphones. It is from the WM6 SDK.

And ppcic doesn't creates compressed cabs.

Have you create cab files that have problems installing in 2002/2003 devices ?

Hmm, the installations I've built using PPCIC work fine on a PPC2003 device (just verified on an Ipaq 5550). I also support very old WinCE 2.01 and 2.11 devices with MIPS processors, the PPCIC installations work just fine with them (and MS Async v3.8) as well.

Ok, works fine now.
I was just using one cab file not created by PPCIC and it was causing this problem.

PPCIC early device support works great!
